The History of P.T. Northwest
P.T. Northwest was originally founded in 1994 in Longview Washington. In 1995 P.T. Northwest expanded its services and opened a clinic in Woodland Washington. By 1998 P.T. Northwest became the largest privately owned clinic in the Longview area and due to the increased demand we expanded into a larger facility of over 3000 square feet. In 1999, Dan Hughes, DPT became the primary owner. Under the direction of Dan Hughes, DPT the company continued to see tremendous growth and expanded again in 2001 to over 6000 square feet.
In July of 2001, P.T. Northwest expanded its services into Industrial Mill Sites with development of the Early Intervention Programs and Ergonomics with an on-site clinic at the Georgia Pacific Wauna Mill. The Early Intervention Programs and ergonomics has continued to grow with the addition of services to the following companies over the last 5 years, Weyerhaeuser, Norpac, NW Hardwoods (Longview, Centralia, Garibaldi Mill Sites), Foster Farms, American Way Roofing, Fibre and many smaller companies.
P.T. Northwest is proactive in community events and sports medicine programs with participation in the Relay for Life, Educational programs for golf, football and baseball, teaching classes at the local college, providing job shadowing for high school student, and providing medical coverage of the 2001 & 2004 Babe Ruth World Series and many other sporting events.
P.T. Northwest is also an Internship site for the following colleges; University of Washington, Eastern Washington University, Pacific University, Puget Sound University, Andrews University, Loma Linda University, Mount Hood Community College, Belmont University, and Des Moines Medical University.
